What are your hours of operation?
River's Bend Children's Center's hours of quality education are 6:30am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4th
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve Day
  • Christmas Day

What age children do you accept?
River’s Bend Children’s Center enrolls children ages 8 weeks to 12 years old without discriminating based on religion, race, color, sex, political affiliation, and mental or physical disabilities. Our service includes full time care for infants through preschool. In addition, we offer before and after school care for children ages 5 – 12. Transportation is provided for those who attend Enon and Elizabeth Scott Elementary schools. We also offer a full time Summer Camp program.

Do you provide part-time care?
River’s Bend Children’s Center only provides full-time care for children at this time.

How do I enroll my child?
You are invited to tour our center with your child at which time you will receive an enrollment packet.

What are the fees?
There is an annual registration fee due at enrollment. This covers the cost of supplies and your child’s participation in school insurance. This is non-refundable.

May I tour your facility?
Absolutely. Tours may be scheduled at any time. Give us a call!

Are you accredited?
Yes. River’s Bend Children’s Center is a nationally accredited child development center. We are accredited by the International Academy for Private Education. This agency accredits the four major types of private schools.

What security precautions are present?
River’s Bend Children’s Center has a locked front entrance with a security code key pad. The center is also equipped with video monitoring system surveillance throughout the center. The main monitor is located in the front office for continued viewing of the areas. Parents are welcome and encouraged to view these monitors for observation of their child’s classroom.

Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes. We provide state approved nutritious lunches, as well as morning and afternoon snacks to the children. Menus have been prepared to meet the daily nutritional requirements of our Virginia State License.

Do the children get to go outside?
Yes. There is a morning and afternoon playground time worked into every class schedule. Weather permitting, of course.

How long has River’s Bend Children’s Center been in operation?
The building was architecturally designed for child care and built in 1999.
