About River's Bend Children's Center

River's Bend Children's Center was designed to provide for the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth and development of children. Our programs will expose your child to a variety of stimulating experiences, social interactions, individual and group activities, and skillful guidance by trained teachers during these learning experiences.

Our co-owner, Suzanne Wittersheim, has over 40 years experience as a child development center Owner/Director in Chesterfield County . Our co-owner, Clark Andrs, directed Chester Child Development Center for 11 years. He also served for five summers as camp counselor at The Children's House Center . Clark received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Child Care Administration. Presently he is a member of the Chesterfield Child Care Association (C.C.C.A.), the Proprietary Child Association of VA(P.C.C.A.V.) and the National Association for Education of Young Children (N.A.E.Y.C.) Ally Stevens, our Area Supervisor, has been an educator in child development for 15 years.

The staff of River's Bend Children's Center believe each child is a unique individual and we are sensitive to their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs. We provide developmentally appropriate programs that meet their individual needs and we strongly encourage the love of learning.

We encourage our children to say their blessings before each meal and we have a Christmas program each winter that our children participate in and a live Nativity. In addition, the children learn Holidays around the world. We pride ourselves on our culturally diverse programs.

Every child is SPECIAL…..and we strive to provide each one with the tools needed for a lifetime of LOVE, LAUGHTER, and LEARNING.
